The Singaporeans’ Opinions to the Economic Affairs of Their Own Nation

A survey of local’s attitudes to economy of Singapore

As is known to everyone, economy is the lifeline of one country. The development of economy is usually considered as a very important yardstick for measuring the development of one country.  And it is said that the economy of Singapore is not in a very good situation, so we would like to know how Singaporeans think about this.

From our findings, we found that men are a little more concerned about the economy, besides, the persons who are during the work age are more interested in the economy. Students and some retired people especially female ones are showing less attention to this topic. For students (mainly in their early twenties), we think it is mainly because that they are more interested in the fashionable topics instead of economy, while the retired people are more likely to pay attention to those service topics such as traveling which will color their life and relax them rather than the more serious topics such as economy.
